Application Status Overview

Once you submit an application, it goes through different stages. Understanding these statuses helps you know what to expect and when to take action.

⏳ Pending

What it means: Your application is submitted and under review by the mentor.

What to do: Wait patiently. Most reviews take 5-7 business days.

✅ Accepted

What it means: Congratulations! You've been selected for the internship.

What to do: Check your email for next steps and internship start instructions.

❌ Rejected

What it means: Your application was not selected this time.

What to do: Don't get discouraged. Apply to other positions and improve your profile.

🔄 Active Internship

What it means: You're currently participating in the internship.

What to do: Submit regular progress reports and engage actively with your mentor.

Viewing Your Applications

Access from your dashboard or navigation menu to see:

  • Complete list of all applications (current and past)
  • Current status of each application
  • Application submission date
  • Position details and company information
  • Quick action buttons (View details, Withdraw if pending)

🔄 Withdrawing Applications

When you can withdraw:

  • Application status is "Pending"
  • You've accepted another position
  • Your circumstances have changed

How to withdraw: Click "Withdraw" button on the application and confirm your decision.

📧 Following Up

When to follow up:

  • More than 7 business days with no response
  • Application deadline has passed
  • You have additional relevant qualifications

How to follow up: Send a polite email to the contact person listed in the position details.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Can't submit progress report

Mentor not responding to communications

Try different communication channels (email, phone if provided). If unresponsive for over 3 business days, contact your academic supervisor or platform support.

Want to change internship after acceptance

Contact your mentor and academic supervisor immediately. Changes after acceptance can affect your reputation and may not always be possible.
